ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Undergoing a full restoration, my client’s furniture was brought back to life. We captured my client’s idea of modernizing her space, creating balance and flow from one room to another.

DINING ROOM

The natural oak became a focal point and this inspired me to use soft touches of neutral colours creating a tranquil dining experience.

FORMAL LOUNGE

A similar colour scheme followed through to the formal lounge where re-upholstered sofas comfortably showcases inviting scatter cushions in hints of blue, yellow and green, keeping a calm but fresh feel. A sentimental piece of art was used to pull all the colours together. We decided on beautifully made custom designed oak furniture to bring warmth to this space.

TV-AREA

A modern freestanding TV-unit was custom made to make use of the space efficiently. New sofas in grey created comfortable and cosy seating with a few easy moveable ottomans in a bold blue for even greater flexibility. We used outdoor fabrics with touches of blues and greens bringing the outside view in through opening the sliding doors. In this area; durable carpets and fabrics was chosen so their 3 adorable dogs could also be welcomed into the relaxed space.

NOTE

I really enjoyed working on this concept and implementing the scheme. The client was very pleased with their new home.

TESTIMONIAL

“Thank you Lane for the decorating. It was wonderful leaving it to you: you could do what you do well – while leaving us to do what we do. All we had to do for the decorating was to finalize choices, which was reasonably quick and easy. I asked you to drag us into the present time: which you did. It was not altogether easy for us, but it worked. And we did enjoy your project management as it reduced our stress… and we shall miss you being here! Now our living areas are more functional, and aesthetically pleasing.”
